After your pick up from the cruise port or hotel, we will travel through St. Lucia's capital and make a brief stop at the Derek Walcott Square.

In this square you will see the large "Massav" tree, said to be between 400-600 years old!  Across the street is the grandest building on the square, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, which was built in 1897.

From Castries, we will make the climb up to the Morne Fortune Overlook.  Situated high on the southern side of St. Lucia's capital, Morne Fortune (Hill of Good Luck), offers spectacular views of the town, Castries Harbor, Vigie and the north of the island.

While on the Morne we will pass the official residence of the governor-general.

The Government House is situated 450 feet above sea level and is one of St. Lucia's few remaining examples of beautiful Victorian architecture.

Continuing in a south-western direction, we will travel through several banana plantations.
In Roseau, we will stop at the largest banana plantation in St. Lucia!  While at the Roseau Banana Plantation you will be given an insight into the cultivation and production of bananas, which is our main export crop.

Enjoy the taste of our fresh, sweet ripe bananas and maybe even wear our banana products in the form of necklaces, bracelets and earrings.

From Roseau experience the stunning landscape along the west coast as we begin our climb into strikingly-beautiful scenic lush hills.

Along the coast you will see the quaint fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries.  These coastal communities are situated in coves at the foot of steep hills with brightly-painted fishing boats lining their shores.Anse-La-Raye--Canaries-side-X-side-636.jpgSee-the-fishing-villages.gif

Upon approaching the town of Soufriere, you will be captivated by the spectacular wonder of the majestic Piton Mountains.

These unique, tropical cone-shaped volcanic peaks have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are St Lucia's most famous landmark.

After sustaining significant damage by Hurricane Tomas, October 2010, Toraille Waterfall is now re-opened!

Located at the edge of a rainforest, discover the breathtaking wonder of a 50-foot natural waterfall cascading over the mountainside into a small pool below.

Take a refreshing dip in the water nestled beneath the falls or cool off under the waterfall!

Our next stop is Sulphur Springs, the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano.  You know you have arrived when you smell the pungent odor of sulfur!

Walk with a guide to see bubbling pools of mud and see clouds of sulphur-laden steam rising from this dormant volcano.

This is certainly a fascinating and educational experience for all!

From Soufriere, you will climb aboard a chartered water taxi or one of Spencer's private speedboats, the Mé Sea Dyé or the Meré Sea Dieu, to embark on a scenic 6-minute ride to beautiful Jalousie Beach (French word for jealousy).

(Due to possible water/beach landings, appropriate footwear is recommended).

Set between the twin mountain peaks of the Gros and Petit Pitons, Jalousie Beach is simply stunning!

You may enjoy 1 to 2 hours on this picturesque, white-sand beach.  Swim or snorkel in the warm Caribbean water or relax and soak up the amazing tropical scenery all around you.

While absorbing the breathtaking wonder of Jalousie Beach, you will be served a hot and sumptuous "boxed" Creole lunch.  Your picnic lunch will allow you to enjoy more time on this beautiful tropical beach.

The return journey to Castries and the cruise ship terminal is by sea.

Your professional captain and crew will take you along St. Lucia's rugged and picturesque west coast where an amazing sightseeing adventure awaits!

During your tour along the scenic west coast, you will be astounded by the exquisite views and many stunning and outstanding photo opportunities that abound.

The sights and sounds of the Bat Cave in Soufriere Bay is another site sure to captivate you.

See, smell and hear the screeching of "Fisherman" bats that live in this unique four-storey high cleft in the coastal rock.

St. Lucia's coast line is truly spectacular.  You will be in awe as we travel by lush secluded coves and inviting black sand volcanic beaches.

The aquamarine waters of the Caribbean Sea against the dramatic drop of high rocky cliffs are also truly fascinating.

You will be intrigued by unusual markings on the rock faces, such as the unique "fish on the rock."

As we continue along the scenic west coast you will be awestruck by the idyllic and picturesque beauty of Marigot Bay.

Surrounded on three sides by steep emerald-colored hills and with a strand of lush palm trees along the shoreline, Marigot Bay is certainly one of the most beautiful bays in the Caribbean!

Marigot Bay is also a safe harbor during hurricanes and was the location of the 1966 movie Dr. Doolittle staring Rex Harrison.

Overlooking Marigot Bay are homes from famous celebrities such as Mick Jagger, Sophia Loren and George Foreman.  You will also be amazed by the house that looks like a UFO!

Before arriving in Castries, marvel at the natural bridge featured in the movie Pirates of the
  Caribbean
.  This unique rock formation is also known as the "tunnel of love" or the "lady's
  slipper."
